On Wednesday, January 25, legislators will hold a public hearing on HB 1291, which improves health care access for Pacific Islanders from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.

2017 Ethnic Legislative Reception

The State Commissions on African American Affairs, Asian Pacific American Affairs, and Hispanic Affairs, as well as the Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs, invites you to the 2017 Ethnic Legislative Reception on February 7 in Olympia.

2017 Legislative Priorities

The board members of CAPAA have approved the Commission’s priorities for the 2017 legislative session. Priorities include supporting legislation to close educational opportunity gaps, provide equitable access to healthcare, and supporting economic growth for API communities.
