Filipino Veterans Recognition & Education Project Memorial Tribute Dinner and Fundraiser (5/13) - Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs
The Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project Region 8 are hosting a Memorial Tribute Fundraising Dinner for veterans and community members on May 13, 2017. The dinner will celebrate the recent passage of the World War II Congressional Gold Medal Act (S. 1555), which was signed by President Obama on December 14, 2016.

- The national Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project (FilVetREP) and its efforts to purchase Congressional Gold Medal replicas in bronze to present to living veterans and post-humously to surviving family members
- Costs in duplication, minting, and medal presentation ceremonies
- Education projects about Filipino Veterans of WWII
