The Office of Governor Jay Inslee, in partnership with the Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs, is recruiting individuals with a commitment to civil rights and equality for the newly launched Ruth Woo Fellowship.

The program seeks currently enrolled college and graduate students who are interested in public service and understand the importance of achieving social justice and equality for all Washingtonians. Student interns will begin in fall 2017 and serve in the governor’s office for one academic term. The minimum 15-20+ hour a week internship is unpaid, though students may be eligible to earn college credit.

The Commission is looking to fill a Project Coordinator position in its two-person office. The position works closely with the Executive Director and Commissioners to serve the needs of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in Washington State.

This person is responsible for project coordination activities as well as the administrative functions of the office. The Project Coordinator also assists in tracking issues and policies that impact the Commission’s stakeholders.

Position open until the close of business on June 19, 2017.
