CAPAA’s Local Hero Award recognizes leaders across Washington state that have contributed to the advancement of AA-NH/PI communities in their local jurisdiction. Nominations are made by current CAPAA Commissioners, then approved by the Executive Committee. The awardee is then presented at the following Board meeting.
