    Next Board Meeting September 16, 2017 Location TBD View meeting information. The Commission would like to congratulate Donny Rojo and Ekkarath Sisavatdy, who were appointed to CAPAA by Gov. Inslee effective July 1. In addition, the Governor reappointed Commissioners Lisa Dickinson and Mohan Gurung to another 3-year term. The Commission would like to thank Commissioners Darren Pen and Zer Vue for their service and leadership in improving the lives of Asian Pacific Americans in Washington.     Governor Jay Inslee recently announced the reappointment of Lisa Dickinson and Mohan Gurung and made the following appointments to the Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA):     Donny Rojo is a 2nd generation Filipino American. He comes from a US Navy military family who settled in Bremerton, Washington. He attended Olympic and Central Kitsap High School and then obtained his BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington.     The Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA) is encouraging efforts to promote mental health awareness in Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Mental health is essential to overall well-being, yet research shows that APIs are less likely to seek help for mental health issues due to social stigma, linguistic and cultural disconnects, and lack of access to health care.
