CAPAA to hold public board meeting in Vancouver
CAPAA will be holding a public board meeting on September 17, 2016, at Clark College in Vancouver.
You will have an opportunity to learn about efforts to ensure health equity for Pacific Islanders, hear updates about the Task Force on Deadly Force in Community Policing, and other issues impacting Asian Pacific American communities. There will also be time for community members to provide public comment and voice their concerns to the Commission.
Board and Commission Opportunities
Washington State has more than 200 boards and commissions to which Governor Inslee appoints members. Appointees are responsible for advising the Governor, the legislature, and state agencies.
Task Force on Deadly Force in Community Policing
The Commission invites you to a Community Report Back on Thursday, August 25 to receive updates on the progress of the Task Force on Deadly Force in Community Policing. Attendees will have an important opportunity to provide feedback about this issue to the Commission and our representative on the task force. The task force has convened two meetings and they are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, September 13 in Olympia.
