On behalf of the Washington state Commissions on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA), African American Affairs (CAAA), and Hispanic Affairs (CHA), and the LGBTQ and Women’s Commissions, we are writing to share our top legislative priority for this session: the passage of a 20-bill package that together would protect Washington communities, defend civil rights and privacy, and strengthen government and law enforcement accountability.
The attached letter details our joint, shared priorities addressed to Members of the State Legislature dated January 31, 2026.
We stand together to urge the Legislature to treat this package as a top priority for the session and to support its passage and enact the funding necessary for effective implementation.
